Water Stewardship Training
WSA offers a globally accredited (AWS) training program designed for people and organisations interested in becoming accredited auditors, consultants or trainers of the water stewardship system. Participation is also open to people generally interested in developing their skills to implement and promote good water stewardship.
The Foundation program is introductory for people interested in understanding the water stewardship system and how it could be implemented by major water users or promoted by others (e.g. policy makers) to achieve natural resource management goals. Foundation level is required for prospective auditors, consultants and trainers.
The Advanced program aims to develop capabilities beyond the level achieved in the Foundation course, while the Specialist program will develop and test skills required to offer services as specialists in the system. Participants seeking accreditation will be required to achieve a satisfactory level of performance in the Advanced program before they can progress to the Specialist program. People can choose to participate in only one of the programs if they are not seeking accreditation.
