Water Stewardship Training

Training in the AWS International Water Stewardship Standard is an important service provided to help organisations build internal capacity to implement or promote good water stewardship.

WSA also offers a three-day globally accredited (AWS) training program designed for people and organisations interested in becoming accredited auditors, consultants or trainers of the water stewardship system.

Training is offered at three levels

Foundation
An introductory program for people interested in understanding the water stewardship system and how it could be implemented by major water users or promoted by others (e.g. policy makers) to achieve natural resource management goals.

Advanced
Aims to develop capabilities beyond the level achieved in the Foundation course.

Specialist
Will develop and test skills required to offer third-party services as specialists in the system (trainers, consultants and auditors). Participants seeking accreditation will be required to achieve a satisfactory level of performance in the Foundation and Advanced programs before they can progress to the Specialist program.

People can choose to participate in only one of the programs if they are not seeking accreditation.

Costs

  • 1 day – $700
  • 2 days – $900
  • 3 days – $1250

Discounts apply for WSA Members and for groups of three or more from the same organisation.
