The Renmark Irrigation Trust serves over 600 irrigators covering more than 4500 hectares throughout the Renmark District in Riverland, South Australia. It is the first agriculture-related site in the world to achieve Gold AWS Certification.

This IDEEA Group report examines the potential connections between the measurement framework and approach of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) and the AWS Standard. The report demonstrates many areas where the advancement of SEEA and the AWS Standard can be mutually supported.

Supported by the Helen McPherson Trust and delivered in partnership with the Western Port Biosphere Foundation, this project initiated a community of water stewards by supporting 28 water users the peri-urban river catchments of Western Port adopt water stewardship planning and practice.

This field report captures the findings of an extensive trial of a water stewardship standard in the Australian dairy industry. The trial evaluated the water performance of Tatura Milk Industries and its suppliers, as well as the indirect water use of 280 dairy farms in the Shepparton Irrigation Region. The water stewardship standard trialled was later published as the AWS Standard in 2014.
